I was in the area visiting a family member who brought me by here. I learned that this establishment has been in family operation for about 50-60 years, and had the chance to meet some of the family members during my visit. Kibbs is straight forward counter service bbq spot. There's no seating, not tables no indoor anything. It's off the side of a 2 lane road, you order at the window and you eat on either on your way back to your car or if you can hold off until you get home. I ordered the beef sandwich with cold slaw and medium bbq sauce which had a nice little kick to it. The beef was thinly sliced, tender and full of flavor. The bbq sauce was sweet, spicy and paired with the coleslaw had the perfect tang. It all comes on a simple bun and everything goes together so perfectly. I can honestly say this was one of the best bbq sandwiches I had in a while. The owner and staff were very kind and friendly and I wish them many more years of success.
I'm from out of town and stopped here for lunch with some coworkers who were working in close proximity to Kibb's! This is a classic example of hidden gem on the roadside. Food was great and the service was excellent. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for barbecue. I'm definitely coming back if I'm in the area.
It's always very good bbqs great service. Kibbs Grand in NLR is better than the other ones they open. I'm gonna be trying one of the cheeseburgers and I'm told they are delicious I will let y'all know!!!
Solid 9.1 Small business, amazing atmosphere. Genuinely smoked meats. This was the most Smokey flavor I've tasted ever. I had the beef and pork sandwiches. Although both were very good, The beef was the clear winner here! The bbq sauce was sweet, with a Smokey flavor. I haven't found this flavor in any bigger more established restaurant yet. Only critique is the beef was slightly over cooked. Top 5 I've ever tasted!
First time we have gotten take out from Kibbs and it was delicious!! Ribs were hot slaw was fresh potato salad & beans were yummy as well. One large rib dinner was plenty for me & hubby. Quick service (called ahead). If they had a sit down place we would go every week.
Service and food was great. I live out of state but ordered two sandwiches to bring back on the plane m. Asked them to wrap them really good for the plane ride and the sandwiches were still hours later. Would highly recommend but if you don't care for spicy then you should order mild.
Friendly people, delicious food! Stopped here on our road trip and so glad we did. Took the worker's recommendation of the barbecue beef sandwich combo and it was great. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a spot only a few minutes off of 40.
On a road trip driving from Houston to Indiana. Found this gem! Worth the drive off the highway. We had the pork bbq sandwiches and fries. Literally the best pork bbq sandwich I have ever had! Frites were great too!
Great sandwich with smoky flavor. Slaw comes on the sandwich and a few peppers throw in as well. Ribs were thin but had good flavor. Sauce was a dark, sweeter sauce. Kibb's is off the beaten path a bit, but well worth a visit.
